privacy policy

Effective Date: August 27, 2026

OIC Media, LLC (“OIC Media,” “OIC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates crossoverkids.com (the “Site”) in connection with Crossover Kids. We respect the privacy of our visitors and recognize the importance of protecting children’s privacy in particular.

This Privacy Policy explains the information that may be collected through the Site, how we use and protect that information, and the choices available to visitors and parents or guardians.

1. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Crossover Kids is created primarily for children ages 9–12 and their families. While children may visit and enjoy the Site, we do not knowingly ask children under 13 to submit their names, email addresses, messages, or other directly identifying personal information to us.

The Site’s contact form is intended only for adults age 18 or older. Visitors under 18 should ask a parent or guardian to contact us on their behalf.

Certain limited technical information, including cookies or other persistent identifiers, may be processed automatically by our website and service providers for purposes such as operating and securing the Site, preventing spam or abuse, and measuring Site performance and traffic. We do not use this information to serve targeted advertising or to create behavioral profiles of children.

If we learn that a child under 13 has submitted personal information directly to us through the contact form or another feature not intended for children, we will take appropriate steps to delete that information promptly, except where retention is necessary to comply with applicable law or protect the security or integrity of the Site.

The Site does not currently offer user accounts, public comments, child submissions, contests, or other features designed to collect personal information directly from children.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information submitted by adults. If an adult uses our contact form, we may collect the information provided through the form, including first name and, if provided, last name, email address, subject, message, and confirmation that the submitter is 18 years of age or older.

Technical and usage information. Our website platform may process information about how visitors access and use the Site, such as browser or device information, pages viewed, referring information, cookies or similar technologies, and other technical information necessary to operate, secure, and analyze the Site.

Cookies. Necessary cookies and similar technologies may be used to operate and secure the Site. Analytics and performance cookies are restricted unless a visitor makes the appropriate selection through our cookie-consent banner. Visitors may use the cookie controls provided on the Site to accept, decline, or manage optional cookies.

3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We may use information collected through the Site to:

  • respond to adult inquiries;

  • operate, maintain, and improve the Site;

  • understand general Site traffic and performance;

  • prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and security threats;

  • maintain appropriate business records; and

  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use information collected through the Site for targeted advertising, and we do not currently use advertising or retargeting pixels on the Site.

4. WEBSITE AND SERVICE PROVIDERS

The Site is hosted by Squarespace, Inc. Squarespace provides website hosting, Site functionality, analytics, form processing, contact management, and related services. Information submitted through our contact form may be processed and maintained through Squarespace’s services.

Squarespace also automatically receives certain Site Usage Information when visitors use the Site, including technical browsing information such as IP address, browser, network or device information, and information about interactions with the Site. Squarespace may process certain Site Usage Information for purposes including security, integrity, and legal compliance.

We use Google reCAPTCHA, provided by Google LLC, in connection with the contact form to help detect and prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and automated activity.

OIC Media is responsible for the Site and will handle privacy inquiries from parents, guardians, and other visitors regarding the practices described in this Privacy Policy, including those involving the service providers identified above.

5. ANALYTICS

We use Squarespace’s built-in analytics to understand general Site traffic, activity, and performance. Analytics are used for purposes such as understanding which pages are visited and improving the operation and usefulness of the Site.

We do not use Site analytics for behavioral advertising or to build advertising profiles of individual visitors.

6. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

We may disclose information to service providers that assist us in operating, securing, maintaining, or analyzing the Site, but only as reasonably necessary for those purposes.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or governmental requests; to protect the rights, safety, or property of OIC Media or others; or to investigate fraud, abuse, or security concerns.

OIC Media does not sell personal information collected through this Site and does not use it for targeted advertising.

7. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

Adult correspondence submitted through the contact form will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the inquiry, maintain legitimate business records, or satisfy applicable legal obligations, and will then be deleted or otherwise disposed of when no longer needed.

If we learn that personal information has been submitted directly by a child under 13 through a feature not intended for children, we will delete that information as soon as reasonably practicable and generally within 30 days after learning of the submission, unless retention is required by law or reasonably necessary for security, safety, or legal compliance.

Technical information and persistent identifiers used for Site operations, security, spam prevention, and analytics are retained only as reasonably necessary for those purposes, subject to applicable service-provider settings and legal requirements. When optional Squarespace analytics cookies are permitted, certain cookies used to identify unique visitors may remain for up to two years, while certain visit/session cookies expire after approximately 30 minutes. Visitors may use the Site’s cookie controls to manage optional analytics cookies.

8. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services, including podcast platforms and social-media services such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and X.

At present, we use ordinary outbound links rather than embedded third-party audio or video players. When a visitor follows one of these links, the visitor leaves our Site and becomes subject to the privacy practices and terms of the third-party service.

OIC Media is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services.

9. PARENTS’ AND GUARDIANS’ RIGHTS

A parent or guardian who believes OIC Media may have collected or maintained personal information from their child under 13 may contact us using the information below.

A parent or guardian may request, as applicable, to:

  • learn whether we maintain personal information collected from their child;

  • review that information;

  • request that the information be deleted; or

  • request that we discontinue further collection or use of the child’s personal information.

We may take reasonable steps to verify the identity and authority of the person making the request before providing or deleting information.

10. SECURITY

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information we maintain and the size and nature of our operations. However, no website, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Site, our practices, service providers, or applicable requirements.

When we make material changes, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this Policy and take any additional steps required by applicable law.
